Wow, February surely did go very quickly indeed (not that it’s surprising seeing as it is the shortest month!)
I don’t actually have many stand out favourites from February because most of the products I have been using were featured in my January Favourites (if you want to check that out I will leave a link at the end) so I will try to keep this post short and sweet :)
eek…sorry for the lighting in some of these photos – yes it is still dark and miserable here in the UK!
So the first product I have loved this month is the L’Oreal skin perfection micellar solution which is something I had never tried before until a few weeks ago. You probably can’t tell from the picture but I have less than half of the bottle left which just shows that I have used it everyday this month! However it does also mean that it runs out pretty quickly- still lasts longer than makeup wipes though so its a good alternative if you find repurchasing makeup wipes a big hassle (like me!) I use this on a cotton pad and remove my eye makeup first. I do usually have to use another one for the rest of my face as I do find it quite the task getting all my mascara off (I have been wearing Maybelline The Falsies all month which I love but mine is waterproof which isn’t the easiest to remove!) I haven’t been great with my skincare recently (something I aim to improve on this month) and so I have just been taking off my makeup with this and then moisturising without washing/ properly cleansing my face. I am not too sure if this is terrible for my skin or not but I am just so lazy so this is perfect because it feels like I have thoroughly removed all of my makeup.
Another favourite of the month has to be Lush. I haven’t actually used the Creamy Candy Bubble Bar (pictured) before but it was the only product left in my possession! If you saw my Lush Haul (link below) you will have seen that I went a little crazy in Lush -most of the things were gifts so I didn’t feel too guilty! I love the whole experience of going into the Lush shops and smelling all of the products. I don’t do it often but when I do I like to take my time and discover as much as I can. Last Sunday I used the Butterball Bath Ballistic and I had such a nice little pamper evening which left me feeling super clean and uplifted, so I plan to do the same tonight!
I have a deep love for Real Techniques Brushes, however I am always using them for the same thing so I decided to change it up a little bit and use the deluxe crease brush for concealer instead of eyeshadow and it is working really well! It blends concealer out excellently, especially under my eyes and around my nose because it is the perfect size. The only problem I have is that this is also my favourite eyeshadow brush and I cant use it for both unless I wash it, otherwise I end up smearing brown eyeshadow under my eyes which does nothing to cover up my dark circles, trust me on this one! So I desperately need to get a similar brush which I can use for concealer, if you have any recommendations please let me know!
Although I love wearing lipsticks/ glosses, I hardly get the chance because of school. Therefore this month I have been loving the yellow ‘Intense Care’ Baby Lips which I am sure has featured in a favourites before but it has been the one which I’ve used the most recently. It moisturises really well whilst giving a beautiful glossy look to my lips which still looks natural.
For blush, the main one I have been using is ‘Rose Gold’ from Sleek. It is such a gorgeous colour (sort of a rosy pink with flecks of gold shimmer running through it.. yeah you probably could have guessed that from the name..) I think this is a perfect colour for spring and I love the gold shimmer in it because it means I can use it instead of a highlighter for a more natural glow. I think I am going to get a lot of use out of this during spring and summer this year!
Sorry these photos really aren’t the best!
I have only painted my nails twice this month but I managed to get away with wearing Angelica ‘Elfin’ to school which immediately makes it a great colour which most teachers don’t notice! It comes out a bit lighter on the nails than in the bottle but it really depends on how many layers you apply. I have owned this for ages (it’s from Primark btw) but don’t show it enough love so I will definitely be painting my nails with this a lot more often,
I also thought I would show you these cute little rose gold fox earrings which were from River Island as I have worn them almost everyday in February and for most of January too probably!
I hope you have had a lovely weekend!
Lots of Love
